About

I'm Jilly, a freelance Medical Writer with a PhD in neuroscience and seven years of experience in the Medical Communications industry.

I am highly experienced in developing clear, creative and engaging slide content for educational initiatives and on-site and virtual meetings, having successfully led a meetings-based account in major depressive disorder for several years. I have also enjoyed supporting colleagues with their development, with extensive experience mentoring writers, reviewing content to a high standard and facilitating project management.

I am able to bring a broad perspective and agile approach to every project, having worked across a wide range of therapy areas and content types, including medical affairs, publications, and commercial projects.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually planning my next trip to Japan or attempting to learn the language — with varying levels of success. I’m often joined at my desk by my 11-year-old cat, Zelda, who you may recognise from my logo.
